Areas for improvement and provide an action plan for improving these skills and attributes.

                According to BBC news there are various opportunities for the skill programmer not only on grades but also their problem solving skills. The news also says that skilled programmer is not only hired by their grades but also their working skills. I am a student of Islington College affiliated to London metropolitan universities which focus on improving our grades and skills for computing.

The things that I have to improve are presentation skills, research, improve writing, programming. And to improve the presentation skills I have to practice in presenting something among  our friends and group members before presenting it to the sir / mam. By doing this it will help me to improve my presentation skills but this is not all to be successful in future I need to be good in writing and programming skills too and to improve this skills I have to reviewing the slides that sir have taught us in the lecture and the tutorial classes by which it will help to be successful person in future. As BBC news says only grade are not important having some important skills on us is also given more importance. The world doesn’t see’s the person who is highly qualified but the person who has skills on them is mostly searched by the world. And I am also weak in research as we all know the nature of humans they don’t want to do these things themselves. To improve the research sectors I will google and look for the answers and the references given by other people.

So, these are the things sectors I want to improve and it will help me to be successful in future. 

Self-Assessment

As I have written about myself in my first blog. I must also write something’s about my achievements and what I expected to learn during my learning years in this college. Before entering this college I had studied basic course in computer and now I would like to get more knowledge in computing subject. I studied my computer subject from 4^th grade till 9^th grade till then I have studied some basic things like MS-Word, power-point, history of computer and etc. In school years I have also studied some basic programming in HTML and Q-basic.

 I also studied basic accounting, commerce and other subject which may help in future for creating different types of programs for different use.Before coming to this college I expected to become a Computing Programmer and after I have passed out from this college to create various programmers for the computer which would make people to do their work more efficiently and easily. I want to get more knowledge about computing programs and the subject. I would like to do well in every subject in the college study module. I want to become a computing programmer in the future.

 While studying in this college I would like to solve various problems in computer. I would like to develop a program for the people to make their work easier.  While studying in this college I got knowledge about computing subjects like: solving problem for IT, various types of logic and to solve the problems for logic, different types of presentation that helps us in our future. I have also learned python programming in the college. I have interest in computer so that I will be studying computing. I have learned flow chart, algorithms, structure chart, etc. I would like to learn how to use object oriented programs in Java. I am here to learn more about java programming.

This is my first blog. Since i have been studying computing i have to write a blog about myself. This is the first assignment from Islington college. So let this be my start my name is Samir rai. I am a fresher student of Islington College located in Nepal,Kathmandu. I live in Khumaltar,Lalitpur. I was born in 14th may in Hong-Kong . I have been raised in lalitpur from childhood. I have finished my studies secondary and higher secondary in Nepal  After that I have chosen BSC-IT for my further studies at Islington college. Since i have been fond of computer games and have worked on simple programs at computer i would like to develop one. I want to be a software engineer.

I joined computing because i would like to know more about the technology and would be part of it in future. Even though i am not a bright student in past i will try to do well in every examination for BSC-IT in future. I like learning new things and solving problems. I like to listen music ,play etc.
before I joined at Islington college i had no idea where should i join and continue for my further studies. So from most of my friends i heard this college is nice and better for computing and the environment is good for studying so i joined in this college. Its good to know new friends and teachers and be more social in the college area.
